Get ready to take on the waters in the stunning surroundings of Scotland’s Loch Lomond, with this Stand Up Paddleboarding for Two. One of the world’s fastest-growing sports, paddleboarding is great fun for all ages and easy to learn. You’ll be given some basic training, but once you set off, freedom’s yours!

You’ll be surrounded by some of Scotland’s most incredible views, and you can explore the many islands, find hidden sandy beaches, and more. Combining recreation with sightseeing, this is a truly unique way to discover all that Loch Lomond has to offer.

What happens on the day?

On arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of Loch Lomond Leisure’s staff members, who’ll ask you to complete some basic paperwork. You’ll then be issued with an optional wetsuit and compulsory buoyancy aid each, before meeting the BCU-qualified coaching staff.

You’ll receive a safety induction and some basic training, and then it’s up to you to enjoy your paddleboarding exactly as you wish! Whether that’s paddling amongst the stunning sights, exploring the many islands or finding hidden beaches, this is a unique adventure that won’t soon be forgotten.

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 12 (under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
• Maximum weight: 18 stone (114kg)
• Participants must complete booking form and waiver
• You must be in good health with a basic level of fitness
• You also need to have a basic swimming ability
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

The experience is available on selected dates March to October. Exclusions may apply

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow 2 hours 30 minutes for the full experience. Participant must arrive 30 minutes prior to pre-booked start time. This allows time to book you in, fill out the necessary paperwork, changing time, land lesson and fit all participants with lifejackets.

What should I wear?

You are advised to wear swimwear with a T-shirt or thermal top or wetsuit if you have one, and trainers. Please take a change of clothing, footwear and a towel and a bag to hold all of your belongings.

A buoyancy aid will be provided and must be worn. A wet?suit is not included but will be available to hire for additional cost of £2 per person.

What about the weather?

Cancellation due to inclement weather is rare and will be decided at the sole discretion of Loch Lomond Leisure Scotland Ltd.

The decision to cancel will be based on safety grounds and will only happen in the event of extreme weather conditions such as gale force winds. They do not cancel due to rain or cold.

If Loch Lomond Leisure Scotland Ltd chose to cancel you will be offered an alternative date.

Additional information

There is a pay-and-display car park in the village.

There is storage for belongings and changing facilities on site.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
